Worn and weathered Indian Head Pennies have traveled from hand to hand across America for over 100 years and now are regarded as a classic American coin for any collector.  This penny is hand-riveted onto a strip of what used to be a silver-plated tea tray.

When the Indian Head Penny was originally released in 1858, it had a silvery nickel-plated sheen for the first few years of issue. Weathered and worn, this authentic Civil War-era relic still bears its nickel plate.
