The New York World’s Fair began with the aspiring slogan of ‘Dawn of a New Day’ and looked to the future with a view of the ‘world of tomorrow’. Incidentally, this opening came months before the outbreak of World War Two and truly represented the last moments of a bygone era that launched America into its new status as a world power. These pieces of jewelry have all been re-purposed from actual souvenirs commemorating the fair.
