Messerschmitt ME109 Plane Wreckage Cuffs
Messerschmitt ME109 Plane Wreckage Cuffs
$0.00
This Cuff is created from salvaged aluminum off a Messerschmitt BF109 fighter (or “ME 109”, as it was named by the Allies) after excavation from its crash site. The plane was shot down by U.S. flak while flying reconnaissance over a remote area of Schoenberg, Germany in the spring of 1945. The pilot bailed out but did not survive, and was buried by a local woman not far from the crash site. Years later his body was moved to a military cemetery. These final pieces of the wreck were salvaged in 2014.
